Full Itinerary
Day 1 - Sossusvlei
You will be met by a Big Safari Company representative on arrival at Windhoek Airport to connect onto a scheduled light aircraft flight to the Geluk airstrip in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve.
The flight will take you over the spectacular vistas of the central highlands and the Namib Desert. Upon arrival you will be met by your local guide who will transfer you to Kulala Desert Lodge. The Lodge offers one of the closest views of Sossusvlei dunes as well as magnificent views of mountainous scenery and vast open plains. The afternoon can be spent at leisure enjoying some of the many activities at the lodge.

Day 2 - Sossusvlei
This morning you will rise early to visit the Namib Naukluft National Park, entering the gates at sunrise to capture the spectacular dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world. Your local guide will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs. Return to Kulala Desert Lodge in the early afternoon for a late lunch.
The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure or you have the option for guided excursion to visit nearby Sesriem Canyon.

Day 3 - Damaraland
After breakfast you will be transferred back to the airstrip in time to board your scheduled light aircraft flight into the heart of Damaraland. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Camp Kipwe in time for lunch.
In the afternoon visit the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, a World Heritage Site containing over 2,500 prehistoric engravings that depict wildlife and abstract motifs - it is one of the largest and finest collections of rock art in Africa some of which are 10,000 years old.
Return to the camp for pre-dinner drinks on Kipwe’s sundowner rock, a short stroll from the camp, for stunning views of the surroundings at sunset.

Day 4 - Damaraland
After an early breakfast you will be treated to an exciting 4x4 excursion along the ephemeral Aba Huab River valley to explore this remarkable region and to search for game, especially the elusive desert adapted elephants if they are in the area. Return to camp for lunch.
In the afternoon you can either relax at the lodge or join your guide to visit nearby local attractions or take a walk into the local area around camp.

Day 5 - Etosha National Park
This morning you will have an early departure with a picnic lunch en route, to the Okaukuejo Resort, located inside the Etosha National Park, in the early afternoon.
This rustic rest camp’s focus is the popular floodlit waterhole, where guests can watch the wildlife come and go. Camp’s prime location inside the park means you have as much time as possible on game drives within the Etosha National Park.

Day 6 - Etosha National Park
Today is dedicated to discovering the wildlife on game drives in the incredible Etosha National Park. One of Africa’s largest National Parks and with a salt pan that can be seen in space, this area offers spectacular game viewing. Lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, hyena, zebra and giraffe are all found here as well as jackals, bat-eared fox, warthog and honey badgers. You can either opt to have a whole day in the park or enjoy morning and afternoon game drives from the camp.
Once you are back (gates close at sunset), the rest of the evening can be spent game viewing at the camp’s floodlit waterhole while enjoying dinner.

Day 7 - Okonjima, Windhoek and home
After breakfast the drive back to Windhoek goes via the Okonjima AfriCat Day Centre, a wonderful highlight with which to conclude your safari. Okonjima is home to the AfriCat Foundation, a wildlife sanctuary which focuses on the research and rehabilitation of Africa's big cats including cheetah and leopard and you will get to see these spectacular animals at close range.
Upon your arrival in Windhoek you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation if you choose to extend your stay, or Windhoek International Airport for your onward flight home.
