Overview

Do it all on this incredible safari, combining Zambia’s untamed National Parks with plenty of time to enjoy the vast range of activities on offer at spectacular Victoria Falls.

Compared to other popular safari destinations in Africa, Zambia is largely unexplored by tourists. This is baffling as it has so many wonderful destinations for wildlife lovers and remote camps where you can immerse yourself in the beautiful wilderness. Contrasting with this is the high-energy, adrenaline-fueled town of Livingstone, where a myriad of adventure opportunities awaits. With all this activity on offer it is easy to forget why you came here in the first place - to see the wonder of nature in full force at the magnificent, unforgettable and truly awe-inspiring Victoria Falls.

Day 1 - Luangwa

Arrive at Lusaka and connect for your flight to South Luangwa Park. On arrival, transfer to Mfuwe Lodge set inside the Park. This region is renowned for its prolific game, with much of it found near the Luangwa River. Giraffe, hippos, buffalo, antelope, and crocodile are constant visitors to Mfuwe Lodge's lagoon, whilst in November the local elephants regularly wander right through the lobby, lured by a nearby wild mango tree. The on site Bush Spa is a calm sanctuary in the heart of the Zambian wilderness, perfect for anyone seeking rejuvenation of mind, body and soul while on safari.

Day 2 - Luangwa

Enjoy thrilling morning and afternoon game drives to spot wildlife in the company of an expert guide.

Day 3 - Luangwa

Day 4 - Lusaka

Transfer to the airport and fly to Lusaka. On arrival you will be met by your driver and transfer to your hotel which offers contemporary architecture, stylish rooms and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, where you can order a cocktail or snack from the bar, or treat yourself to a massage at the spa.

Day 5 - Kafue

After breakfast transfer by road to Kafue Park. Mukambi Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the Kafue River, just by the park entrance to Kafue National Park. All the lodge chalets here have stunning river views.

Activities here consist of game drives, sunset boat cruises, fishing trips and bush walks on which you are likely to see elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, and hippo besides an incredible variety of birds.

Day 6 - Kafue

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with highly experienced safari guides, to spot the prolific wildlife in this region.

Day 7 - Kafue

From Mukambi, it's a game drive through the park to the next camp. Nanzhila Plains Safari Camp is located in the isolated and seldom visited southern sector of the park, known for its rich diversity of habitat and variety of species. This small and intimate lodge offers an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating area. The area has particularly healthy populations of cheetah and wild dog as well as antelope species such as roan and sable. Birding is phenomenal, with excellent opportunities to see such birds as the endemic Black-cheeked Lovebird.

Day 8 - Livingstone

After breakfast drive 6 hours southwards to Livingstone. The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa overlooks the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, with rooms facing the Great Zambezi River. It is the perfect base to visit the incredible Victoria Falls.

Day 9 - Livingstone

Victoria Falls is situated on the Zambezi River, at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, and is also known as ‘The Smoke That Thunders’, from its indigenous name Mosi-oa-Tunya. It is the world’s largest waterfall and its stunning location in the middle of the African bush makes it one of those sights you will remember for the rest of your life. Today you will enjoy a morning tour of the falls, with a guide that will explain the history and geology of the falls and then you have the remainder of the day for optional activities of your choice.

Day 10 - Livingstone

Livingstone is known as the adventure capital of Africa - there are so many things to do the range can be overwhelming. This is a free day to sample some of the many optional excursions and activities on offer here.
